What is Brainspotting?

Research on EMDR and other brain-body therapies has shown that 'where you look affects how you feel.' Brainspotting (BSP) harnesses this natural connection by using specific eye positions to locate, focus, process, and release a wide range of emotional and physical challenges. It’s not just a technique—it’s a brain-based tool that deepens the therapeutic relationship and enhances healing.

At Believe In Your Journey Counseling & Holistic Care, I believe that BSP taps into the body’s innate ability to self-scan and self-heal. When a Brainspot is activated, the brain reflexively signals that the root of the issue has been identified, allowing us to work toward resolution. Beyond addressing trauma and emotional pain, BSP also helps uncover and strengthen your inner resilience and natural resources.

Brainspotting is designed to complement and integrate seamlessly with other therapeutic approaches, making it a versatile and powerful tool for deep, lasting healing.
